This collection comprises photographs mainly of New Zealand buses categorised by bus fleets with files for North Island, South Island and National fleets, and there is also a file for buses converted to Movans and derelicts. In total there are over 4,500 scanned photos totalling 28Gb. Priority has been given to scanning bus photographs.  Mr Kirker was interested especially in AEC buses and Seddons and so we have separate folders available on these in photo and .pdf format.

The collection also includes photos of Overseas buses and Emergency Vehicles in New Zealand and Australia but these have not been scanned as yet.

Photographs can be made available to THS members under Copyright law, for personal viewing or for research purposes. There are conditions in the event that photos are required for publication. There is an administrative charge payable to the THS Library depending on how much information is required and the media (DVD disc or flashdrive) required to transport the data. Most photos are in .tif format which gives better quality but takes more computer space.  The quality of photos can not be any better than the original and there are some very old photos that are in poor condition to start with.
